Whether you are living it up at the lake with your besties, having a romantic beach picnic, or swinging by the local watering hole, one thing is for sure: there will be red, white, and booze involved. If you're hitting up the right parties, there will be wine, beer, and all your classic cocktails being served. In order for your party to stand out, there are a few key ingredients you can't skimp on: fireworks, yummy treats, good music, decor, and a refreshing cocktail signature to your party.
Fireworks: Unless you're a professional, you should not be handling the big boys. Still use with caution, but here are a few safe and fun fireworks:
Smoke bombs : They don't explode, they just, well, smoke. They come in a variety of beautiful colors and are billowy, whimsical, and beautiful.
Sparklers : Sparklers create a moment of magic wherever ignited. We especially love the long wedding sparklers - they burn longer, last longer, and look amazing in pictures.
Pop-pops : A childhood favorite! Fun to throw (especially at boys)!
Apps: If you're preparing food for a lot of people, keep it easy and simple. You can never go wrong with hamburgers, hotdogs, and a fresh crisp salad. However, appetizers are what set a precedent for the meal ahead, so be sure not to disappoint!
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Slice your baguette bread & place them on a baking sheet lined with foil. Then brush each side with olive oil & sprinkle the tops with salt & pepper.
Bake the baguette for 15-20 minutes until golden, flipping the baguette slices halfway through to ensure both sides cook evenly.
Once golden & slightly cooled, spread softened goat cheese on each baguette, & top with sliced strawberries & fresh basil.
And finally, drizzle balsamic on top & enjoy!
*1. If you prefer thickened balsamic (as pictured) simply pour the balsamic in a pan & bring it to a simmer at medium heat, then reduce the heat to low & let it simmer for 10-15 minutes until thickened. I reduce between 1/4 & 1/3 cup, but it depends on how much balsamic reduction you desire.

Decor: Keep things easy, light, and festive. Oversized balloons filled with metallic confetti are a must-have. Make drinking extra cute with a disco glitter ball sipper cup. A party pack of photo props for all your selfies is mandatory. Don't forget to throw in some streamers, bubbles, sparkles, and confetti (basically anything to add a little shine)!
DRANKSS: Be sure to stock up on beer, wine, vodka, and tequila. Always have your classic mixers on hand: club soda, cranberry juice, tonic, OJ, and your favorite sodas. Ask everyone to bring their favorite spirit (BYOB) to keep the open bar booze cost to a minimum. The signature cocktail can be as easy or detailed as you would like. We prefer to appear fancy but keep things simple (think: little effort, big impression). Here is our pick for the perfect July 4th cocktail that everyone will love.
