Golden skin, bonfires, skinny dipping, double dipping, boozing and cruising. Memorial Day should be filled with all of your favorite things. We are here to tell you our favorite picks to make your Memorial Day extra sparkly and extra fabulous!
Some Oversized Shades - I must say, the bigger the better. These will be crucial to get you through the long weekend. There is a good chance you will loose or break your sunnies this weekend. That being said, do not bring anything too expensive. AND bring a back up pair, just in case. You would hate to arrive at Sunday brunch without them. We love Quay Sunnies. They are super durable and so chic. Not to mention they are between $45-$65.
A Super Sweet Sunscreen - We love Sugar Sport Sunscreen(you can still get beautifully bronzed with SPF 30, so keep that pretty skin protected). It's a super moisturizing treatment that provides targeted nourishment and water-resistant UV protection to the lips, face, and eye area. And it smells amazing!
The Perfect Beach Towel - A circle of terry cloth perfection trimmed in fringe and covered in a multitude of exotic prints and colors. Not only is this beach towel the epitome of perfection, it can act as much more. She can be worn as chic sarong or a cozy wrap, ideal for cozy beach bonfire nights.
Wavy Beach Hair -Sea Mist Texturizing Salt Spray is great for adding beachy texture and waves to hair naturally. The essential oils of coconut and vanilla give off an exotic aroma. Apply to dry or wet hair. For body: spritz on any time your skin needs a refreshment. This stuff literally smells so good you can spray it into the air in the room around you to liven things up. It contains aloe water to hydrate your skin and it's even safe to use on your face.
Outfit - Obviously your outfit needs to be just right. The key to the perfect Memorial Day look is to be comfortable and cool. Our go to's are always short shorts, a graphic tee, or an easy little sundress (anything patriotic or with stars is a bonus).
A Badass Playlist - Must include, Miley's "Party in the USA", Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" (lol we swear it will totally get you in the mood), some Britney (duh), Destiny's Child, a little trap of course, and whatever else floats your boat.
Finishing touch: Watermelon Margarita -We are kinda obsessed with this Margarita recipe. It's refreshing and the perfect drink to have poolside, beach side, even inside. If you love to drink just as much as we do, then this is the margarita for you.Thank you Wicked Spatula for this amazingness. I like to throw in some jalapenos to add a necessary kick.
